Green Tea Face Scrub

The green tea in this scrub helps prevent sun damage by quenching free radicals and preventing inflammation. The anti-inflammatory properties of green tea will help calm and soothe acne inflammation and other skin inflammatory conditions like eczema. Green tea also contains polyphenols that are known to slow down the development of some signs of premature aging. If you want this to be less of a scrub you can omit the sugar and decrease the oil to 4 tsp. I hope you enjoy this mask! Let me know when you try it and what you think.

Sugar Scrub

This is just a base recipe for a sugar scrub. You can customize the type of sugar and oil to suite your needs as well as the essential oil. I included my go-to recipe! The coconut oil helps fight acne and balance the skin as well as moisturize it, the white sugar provides gentle exfoliation without drying the skin, you can use salt or some combination of sugar and salt for added mineral benefits; however, the salt can also be drying. The lavender and frankincense essential oils not only make this scrub smell good they also help moisturize and soften the skin. You won't use this whole batch at once so you can store it in an airtight container for later use.

Almond Face Scrub

The almonds and almond oil help remove dead skin and buildup. They also help decrease the look of dark circles and hyperpigmentation. They have antioxidants that help protect the skin from the elements as well as omega-3 fatty acids that make the skin radiant. Almond oil is also very moisturizing. This is my go-to mask/scrub because it covers all of the "basis" for skin health. You can grind the almonds really fine to decrease the exfoliation or you can use a very corse grind to make this mask more of a scrub. When you try it let me know what you think!
